High performing and cost effective non-structural graphite polystyrene (GPS) rigid insulation board for exterior wall applications on wood or steel frame construction. The expanded polystyrene (EPS) core is embedded with graphite particles which increase the thermal performance, compared to conventional EPS.

In addition to the increased thermal resistance, the foam is laminated with a reflective film on both sides increasing board strength and flexibility, reducing site damage and waste. The reflective laminated surfaces are micro perforated giving the panel high water vapor permeance greatly reducing the likelihood of trapped moisture through the increased drying potential.

Envirosheet is an economical rigid insulation board made from Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) offering a high R-value per dollar when compared to other generic rigid insulation solutions on the market. It is a highly flexible and cost-effective product that can be used for above grade and below grade interior applications in residential or commercial construction.

Envirosheet EPS above grade insulation can be installed on most substrates and can accommodate virtually any finish ranging from stucco, siding and masonry veneer providing professionals great design flexibility. It has high permeance to allow the passage of water vapour, reducing the risk of trapped moisture in the wall assembly. The closed cell version for below grade applications gives the board superior water resistive properties while the high density of the foam makes for an excellent alternative for projects that require high compressive strength.

Envirostrap is a rigid insulation board made from closed cell Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) with two integrated furring strips on one side. This highly effective combination of materials offers a 2-in-1 solution incorporating insulation and finish attachment surfaces that can be used for both above grade and below grade interior applications. The furring strips can either be fully recessed inside the foam for interior finish installation or can protrude from the surface of the foam by ¾” (19mm), creating an air gap that is needed for exterior cladding installation.

The two furring strips are located 16” on center (406mm) on each panel and are 2.5” (63mm) wide and make for an easy installation of finishes such as siding or gypsum board (drywall). The combination of the thicker strips (1” (25mm)) with the spacing and width provides the user with the widest range of warranty compliance by the various siding manufacturers.
